ReadyToPlay Secure is committed to getting an absolutely perfect import of the original audio on your CDs. Even the most careful music lovers typically have discs with some small amount of disc damage. If there has been damage to the disc, from a large scratch to multiple small scratches, the audio quality can be affected.
ReadyToPlay technicians manually inspect any disc that doesn’t rip absolutely perfectly with verification to determine if the disc is damaged.
We then use Venmill’s patented Optoclear Technology to repair your discs, so we can get a perfectly accurate rip of your CD, even if it doesn’t come to us in perfect condition.
Many “disc repair” machines actually sand away the protective layer of the disc, which can be a very destructive process. Instead of grinding the plastic, the Optoclear technology essentially “irons out” the scratch by heating the protective plastic layer and smoothing it to eliminate the scratch and allow for a good read of the disc.
It is important to note that we can’t repair extremely deep scratches into the protective layer or actual damage of the recordable layer. In real terms, most scratches are repairable, though if the data layer or top of the disc is severely damaged, we can’t repair the disc. In those rare cases, you will receive an error report so you can replace the disc.
