Audio Quality:

With currently available software, unless a person physically listens to every track after a CD is ripped, it’s nearly impossible to know if the resulting audio is perfect.  Prior to now, professional ripping technology hasn’t enabled the software to compare your lossless digital files with a reference database of perfect-quality conversions. ReadyToPlay has partnered with illustrate, the creators of dBpoweramp, to bring to market a “secure” ripping service to help solve the potential audio quality problems with current ripping technologies. 

ReadyToPlay now has the ability to compare your lossless converted audio with other known “perfect” rips of the same CD worldwide, thus guaranteeing perfect audio quality. Tapping into a database of over 2.4 million CDs, ReadyToPlay compares your files and qualifies mathematically if you have achieved a ‘perfect rip’.  For those CDs not meeting a gold standard of audio, ReadyToPlay professionally repairs and re-rips the CD.  Detailed error reporting provides documentation for any tracks or CDs not meeting this audio gold standard.

Metadata Quality:

All CDs are sourced with four different databases (AMG, GD3, MusicBrainz and FreeDB) for best-in-class metadata.  We then inspect your entire digital music library and an expert ‘DataGrooms’ the collection making adjustments and fixes to metadata.  In short, you’ll have the “Library Quality” metadata you expect.

Gold Standard Hardware: 

Utilizing a specifically-designed system for ripping with best-in-class CD drives and software, ReadyToPlay is dedicated to quality. Your collection is ripped on the best quality CD drives available today.

Operator Management:

ReadyToPlay doesn’t use robots to rip your collection. Our operators hand-load each CD and confirm accurate audio and metadata returns.  While we can’t guarantee perfect 100% accurate data for every track, we can and will deliver the best metadata available today.

Professional Cleaning:

ReadyToPlay Secure is committed to getting an absolutely perfect import of the original audio on your CDs.  Even the most careful music lovers typically have discs with some small amount of disc damage.  If there has been damage to the disc, from a large scratch to multiple small scratches, the audio quality can be affected.  ReadyToPlay professionally repairs your problematic discs, which you can read more about here.

Digital Format Options: 

• Apple Lossless (great for iPod, Sonos or Apple TV)
• FLAC (great for ReQuest Media Servers, Squeezebox)
• WMA Lossless (great for Qsonix Media Servers, MCE)
• MP3 320kbps (great for iPod, iPhone. A second output format is available in addition to your lossless rip for an incremental charge per CD.)

Output Options:

As this is a premium service, we offer gold-standard output options for delivery of your digital files.  ReadyToPlay can load your digital files to either a NAS, USB external hard drive or media server solution.

Shipping Options:

You can ship your CDs to us anyway that is easiest for you to transport them safely and securely.  ReadyToPlay will accept CDs in jewel cases, spindles or boxed however you’d like.

As an option, clients can have ReadyToPlay buy and ship VAULTZ for transport of your CD collection to/from ReadyToPlay. We can order them as part of your project and have them drop shipped to you easily and quickly.
